Help Guide

How to use FixLog from first asset to finished maintenance record.

This guide uses a brewery scenario, but the same flow works for shops, restaurants, gyms, rental properties, facilities, farms, fleets, and tool rooms.

Example Scenario

Mountain Peak Brewing wants to track its glycol chiller, boiler, canning line, CO2 manifold, taproom glasswasher, and other equipment. The owner wants to know what is overdue, what needs attention today, and what was done last time.

1

Create or scan an asset

Add an asset such as Glycol Chiller. Fill in the asset ID, category, location, vendor, warranty notes, photo, and any custom fields.

2

Organize it

Set the location to Brew House and add groups such as Expensive Assets, Safety Critical, and Warranty Watch.

3

Add reminders

Create reminders for monthly cooling system preventive maintenance, weekly sanitation checks, or safety inspections.

4

Use templates

Pick a maintenance template when recording repeat work. Templates can include guidance and checklist steps so records stay consistent.

5

Record the work

When the reminder is due, open it, complete the checklist, add notes, parts, labor time, cost, and photos if needed.

6

Keep the record useful

Review history before calling a vendor, export reports for documentation, and back up your data regularly.
